During the Fourth Annual Design Conference, explore how Craft — the art and science of how materials come together to make architecture — has influenced the creation of architecture in the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. The conference will be framed by a discussion of O’Neil Ford and how he blended both historic and modern ideas about craft to create an architecture that is uniquely suited to its place in the world. Presentations by two world-class architects will highlight alternate regional approaches while demonstrating the importance of Craft in contemporary practice.
Home to many of Ford’s early works, Denton provides a unique setting to hear from speakers, tour buildings, and enjoy fellowship with peers. Located a short drive north of the DFW Metroplex, Denton is approximately a half-hour drive from both DFW International Airport and Love Field. Register now.
