Preservation Austin’s throwback to the mid-1960s looks at a few prominent homes built by the heavy-hitting firms in town including the house Arthur Feher, principal of Fehr & Granger, designed for himself. Harwell Hamilton Harris’ Cranfill-Beacham Apartments on Cliff Street will also be featured. See the gallery above for other properties on the tour.
The 22nd annual spring tour will occur on Saturday, April 5, 2014 , from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. That same day, tour participants can also attend "The Principles of Mid-Century Modern Architecture," a short, informal lecture by Steve Sadowsky, who will speak at 3607 Balcones at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. No reservations are required, but seating is limited.
