Convergence: Keynote Speakers

We are excited to introduce the keynote speakers for "Convergence," our 77th Annual Convention and Design Expo. Marion Weiss, FAIA, and Michael Manfredi, FAIA, Eric J. Cesal, Assoc. AIA, and Debbie Millman will be joining us in San Antonio this November. For the first time, this year we will be hosting four general sessions— two on Friday and two on Saturday. 2016 Conference – Save the Date!

Our 77th Annual Conference and Design Expo, themed “Conference,” will take place on November 3-5, 2016. More than 3,000 people will convene at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center in San Antonio, the heart of Texas history, for this event. Sessions and tours will explore how different cultures, geographical features, and design ideas have come together to influence the development and ongoing transformation of San Antonio, as well as other cities across the state, and how various disciplines and approaches are being combined to produce meaningful impact on the built environment. Learning unit hours for our 76th Annual Conference and Design Expo have been calculated. Certificates and Credit Your 2014 Texas Society of Architects learning unit hours have been tabulated. You can review your Continuing Education Certificate here. Please print out the certificate for your own records. This is the most important documentation of your conference attendance. Please be aware that the AIA stopped requiring and recording all Sustainable Design credit in 2012. You can view the official announcement here. All AIA transcripts currently show a total of 0.0 SD hours. However, the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE) still requires that at least one of the 12 necessary Health, Safety, and Welfare hours must be related to sustainable or energy-efficient design.
