1 LU/HSW: Designing to LEED v4.1 will enable architects to provide healthier, more sustainable spaces for occupants and will benefit the overall environment. Join sustainability expert Christine A. Subasic, PE as she discusses the changes from the LEED 2009 standard to the latest LEED v4.1 standard, with a specific focus on masonry. This course will discuss how LEED fosters sustainable building, and the principal areas in which LEED v4.1 differs from previous versions of LEED in improving the level of energy savings and eliminating CO2 output. EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) and the (HPD) (Health Product Declaration) are important parts of LEED v.41, and the differences between the two reports will also be discussed to help architects effectively specify healthier, safer and higher-performing LEED v4.1-compliant buildings.
