The Texas Society of Architects is a state component of the American Institute of Architects. Founded in 1939, we are one of the nation’s largest organizations for the architectural profession, with 18 regional components and more than 7,200 members.

Become a Member

Members of the Texas Society of Architects play an incredibly vital role in maintaining and supporting Texas architecture. They also receive: exclusive access to our publications; legislative support; discounted rates for our Annual Conference and Design Expo, Design Conference, and awards programs; and many other invaluable resources at the local, state, and national levels.

Board of Directors

The Texas Society of Architects Board of Directors includes officers and AIA directors, as well as Society directors. The Board guides the Society’s mission to be the voice for Texas architecture, supporting the creation of safe, beautiful, sustainable environments.

Commissions and Committees

The activities of the Society are largely the result of member volunteers working in partnership with the staff. The various committees and task forces responsible for this work are organized into five commissions, each of which is led by a member of the Executive Committee.
