"Here’s a golden opportunity to geek out on buildings and places in some of the most scenic cities in the world!"
We are pleased to introduce the Society’s first opportunity in many years to participate in architectural travel: a luxury Silversea cruise from Rome to Venice taking place on September 10-19, 2014.
This 9-night cruise truly encompasses the best of the Mediterranean. The itinerary includes visits to:
- Sorrento, Italy
- Amalfi Coast, Italy
- Corfu, Greece
- Kotor, Montenegro
- Dubrovnik, Croatia
- Hvar, Croatia
- Zadar, Croatia
- Venice, Italy
- Optional Rome/Slovenia pre- or post-stays
Guided “on the ground” architectural tours (4 CEs each) will be offered in Sorrento, Venice, and Rome, and Dan Hart, FAIA, past-president of the Society, will lead seminars (1 CE each) prior to the other port calls. Travelers will also be able to choose from several excursions at various destinations.
View the brochure at right for more information about each of the locations we will visit, as well as details about the cruise ship, guest suite options, and pricing.
To make a reservation, print out and mail or fax in the registration form.
Why travel to view architecture? "Most art can come to us," says Hart. "A drama can be performed by our community theater, a painting can travel to our museum, and a symphony can be played by our orchestra. Not so with architecture. To experience it fully, we must travel."
We hope you can join us for this fantastic voyage!
