Well Crafted Objects: UH Students Take On Product Design

Conference Focuses on Sustainable Building Strategies

AIA Announces 2013 Fellows — 13 Texas Architects Among Those Named
The American Institute of Architects has announced the newest members of the AIA College of Fellows. Among the 122 AIA members honored with this distinction, 13 are members of the Texas Society of Architects. The 2013 Fellows will be honored at an investiture ceremony during the AIA National Convention to be held in Denver this June.

W. Eugene George, FAIA (1922-2013)
W. Eugene George, FAIA, one of the leading architects in the historic preservation movement, passed away on January 16. The recipient of the Society's 2001 Edward J. Romieniec Award and 2012 Presidential Citation, George will long be remembered for his invaluable contributions to the conservation of the architectural heritage of the State of Texas, and for his profound influence on students and professional leaders alike.

Many thanks to everyone who attended the Texas Architects 73rd Annual Convention and Design Expo and helped to make it a great success! Attendees will be able to review their Continuing Education Certificate online via a link sent by Texas Architects the week of November 12. The deadline to review certificates is November 30.
