Description

Come learn how to pass an air barrier test! Blower door tests are increasingly required for commercial and residential buildings. Proper design, careful detailing, and correct installation  of the building air barrier is crucial to ensure successful completion of the testing requirements. This presentation will help you understand the function and types of air barriers. You will see and touch various options for air barrier materials and learn to choose and detail a complete air barrier in your design. You will see how a blower door test is performed and understand the various standards that govern air tightness of the building envelope.
