Description

Although the commissioning of various building systems has been around for quite some time, commissioning related to the building enclosure (or exterior building envelope) is a fairly new task that is regularly becoming a project delivery requirement. The speed at which envelope commissioning has entered the scene, coupled with a lack of an industry-wide accepted protocol, has produced a wide range of opinions on just exactly how the building envelope commissioning plan is to be executed. Building owner, user, building type, complexity of design, and budget all influence the commissioning plan. This presentation will help explain the process of commissioning the exterior building envelope and as well as the responsibilities of the various team members.
