Fireside Chats are an opportunity for Emerging Professionals to have small, intimate conversations with established architects. For this Chat, 25 Emerging Professionals will be speaking with Ron Stelmarski, AIA, LEED AP, of Perkins+Will.
Ron Stelmarski, AIA, LEED AP, brings a unique perspective to the strategic dimension of design. While earning his M.Arch from Yale University and his B.Arch from the University of Cincinnati, Ron studied under some of the most noted names in contemporary architecture including Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid, and Charles Gwathmey, while serving as a teaching assistant to Vincent Scully. After launching his career with Cesar Pelli & Associates, he joined the Chicago office of Perkins+Will in 2001. There, he spent a decade under the mentorship of Ralph Johnson and Eva Maddox, balancing global architectural design with a branded environments, research-based approach.
Today, he serves as Director of Design for the Perkins+Will Texas practice. Recent local work includes The Richards Group headquarters, Fire Station 27 and Bishop Lynch High School, all currently under construction.
