Architects commonly use letters as the means of presenting proposals for services, but as lawyers we have found that such letters often do not clearly communicate the scope of services, fees, and other important information. When poorly written proposals become contracts, the consequences can be disagreements and disputes regarding the scope of services and fees, as well as other issues. This presentation will present an easy to learn simple process for writing such letter proposals. Attendees will learn why letter agreements must be clear and accurate, what can happen if not clear, and how to draft them so they are.
