In 2012, Corpus Christi architect Bill Wilson, FAIA, ran for the 42rd District Texas state representative seat, hoping to bring the lessons of design and collaboration he'd learned as an architect to the Texas house. He ultimately lost the race, but both Wilson and his supporters in the architectural community learned many valuable lessons from an architect's foray into the political realm.
