Preservation Texas has created the 'Texas's Most Endangered Places' list for over 10 years. By calling attention to these sites now, Preservation Texas endeavors to encourage local action while there's still time, with the hope that inclusion on our list will provide those who care for these sites with the support, expertise, and momentum to take their preservation efforts to the next level.

By reviewing the stories of loss, rescue, and renewal of the places on the list, architects will see not only how important these sites are to our heritage, but also learn how to serve as advocates for the places in their own areas. Stories will be told from the different perspectives of the architect, the advocate, and the public servant. Sustainability will also be featured as one way of bringing new purpose to saving existing structures.
