The United States Federal Government's Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is in the process of revising NFPA 101, the Life Safety Code. The United States healthcare industry has been required to follow the 2000 edition of NFPA 101, Life Safety Code. Significant changes have occurred which will impact almost all aspects of designing such facilities. This presentation will cover the significant changes in the Life Safety Code that would impact architects.
