Tour Guide: Brad Bell, University of Texas at Arlington
This tour will consist of a brief guided walking tour across the University of Texas at Arlington campus to view recent campus construction including the College Park District and the College Park Center, concluding at the School of Architecture. There, attendees will view an exhibition of recent faculty and student work, with a particular focus on the digital fabrication laboratory and prototyping facilities. Attendees will have the opportunity to see a wide range of applications and scales of digital fabrication technology, and how the school is currently setting up unique research and teaching initiatives in this area. The tour will include a live demonstration of computer numerical control milling and 3D printing capabilities, as well as an exhibition of large format prototypes of innovative complex geometric wall and structural assemblies.
