Job Qualifications:
• Interior Design leader, focusing on Multi-Family/Student Housing project types
• Collaborates with Designers and Team members on a daily basis in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
• Participates in design strategy sessions and presentations; coordinates overall design concept/process consistent with project's program, budget and time constraints Responds to input and changes to project parameters by developing alternative designs; maintains concept continuity
• Experience with preparing written specifications, working drawings and construction documents; ensures that office design policies, procedures and standards are followed
• Supervises color/material selection, interior construction administration and installation
• Provides project team supervision for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
• Coordinates with the design team in the selection of furniture systems and specifications
• Works with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
• Participates in client meetings and presentations as needed
• Assists in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
• Formulates project approach with Shareholders and establishes design parameters
• Contributes to office activities, initiatives and learning programs

Requirements to Apply for this Position:
• Considering candidates with 5 years of experience in predominantly Multi-Family/Student Housing
• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in interior design or architecture
• Interior Design and/or Architectural registration preferred, not required
• Excellent knowledge with AutoCAD software required, Revit knowledge is preferred
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; both orally and in writing
• Talent, commitment and a passion for quality design and documentation
• Sound detailing experience is a must
• Proven experience working in multiple projects, budgets, and clients, as well as complex consultant relationships with a strong interiors focus. Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail. Ability to consistently meet deadlines and to communicate design ideas and direction quickly. An organizer who can prioritize, delegate and track multiple projects
• Creative and technically minded - a problem solver who can give technical expertise to complex construction challenges
• Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills that can supervise and mentor staff. Ability to work with integrity, trust and commitment, setting an example for others
• Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials
• Good graphic presentation skills
