Gensler’s hub office in Houston is seeking a Mid Level Interior Designer for its Workplace Studio. This position requires furniture specification and administration experience.

•Perform interior design assignments that include conceptual design, schematic design, design development & construction documents.
•Provide design support for completion and execution of design projects.
•Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents.
•Participate in selection of furniture systems and specifications.
•Provide project team coordination for the plans, specifications and materials.
•Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and samples.
•Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
•5 to 9 years of experience, licensed or pursuing license in interior design or architecture.
•Proficient Revit skills required.
•Experience in AutoCAD.
•Background and experience in workplace and/or hospitality concept design.
•Well rounded experience in FF&E specification, as well as construction documentation and construction administration.
•Experience in Furniture Specification and bidding analysis – knowledge of SPEXX Software would also be an asset.
•Familiarity with major workplace/hospitality furniture lines and ancillary furniture.
•Must be willing to work with Energy Clients and be willing to submit to background and other testing requirements.
