Wow! The 7th largest city in the USA and the 4th largest component chapter in Texas has NO representatives on the potential slate for 2026 TxA Board???
Good morning.
I am sorry to see the horrific news in Central Texas.
As we know, this is nothing new for us in Lone Star State.
Are the AIA, TxA and local chapters organizing efforts to help our friends and family rebuild…safely and with more Resilience in mind?
If so, I would be honored to assist.
Best,
Robert
Hello! Not on this slate, but we do have 2 board members currently from San Antonio. And we encourage anyone interested in serving (from San Antonio or elsewhere) to let us know of your interest!
Hi Robert. It truly is devastating. At TxA we are focusing on our Disaster Assistance Program. We have volunteers ready when the state allows, we are working to recertify some of our members, and we’re directing members to the training for this program. I know there are members in Austin working with the Austin Resilience Network and others are working on the ground.
