Blueprints & Books is a statewide architecture week initiative that connects architects with K–12 students through storytelling.
Texas AIA members will read architecture-themed books in classrooms and community groups, supported by a turnkey toolkit of reading guides and activities.
With full funding, the program aims to reach over 1,000 students across 40 classrooms, inspiring young minds to see themselves as future designers and changemakers.
INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION OF ARCHITECTS!
DEADLINE: April 7, 2026

Join the Texas Society of Architects (TxA) in bringing the world of architecture to young students! TxA invites members to volunteer their time and visit a local elementary school, library, or community space to read an architecture-themed book and/or lead a simple design activity. Through storytelling and conversation, architects help young learners discover how buildings shape our communities.
Our Goal: Introduce 1,000 students across Texas to architecture.
