Klyde Warren Park Receives 2018 AIA Honor Award for Collaborative Achievement

April 19, 2018

The AIA Collaborative Achievement Honor Award recognizes the excellence that results when architects work with those from outside the profession to improve the spaces where people live and work. The jury included chair Rik Master, FAIA, Patrick Burke, FAIA, Lindsey Graff, Assoc. AIA, Libby Haslam, AIA, and R. Steven Lewis, FAIA.

This year, Dallas’ Klyde Warren Park, designed by the Office of James Burnett, was one of two recipients of the award. The five-acre park, the result of a public-private partnership, was completed in 2012. The park, which now has over a million visitors each year, bridges the gap between two freeways, creating green space in downtown Dallas. Read more from Texas Architect about Klyde Warren Park here.

Congratulations to Klyde Warren Park and the City of Dallas in this achievement!
