Jennifer Briggs Named EVP

May 26, 2021

The Texas Society of Architects has named Jennifer Briggs as executive vice president. Briggs will join the organization on June 14, 2021, and will be responsible for leading and managing the TxA staff and fulfilling its mandate to support the Society’s mission to be the voice for Texas architecture, supporting the creation of safe, beautiful, sustainable environments.

Briggs is currently the president and CEO of the Indiana CPA Society. She has been employed by the society since 2002, serving in a myriad of roles including special projects manager, marketing manager, director of member services, senior vice president, and chief operating officer. In 2018, she moved into her current position.

Prior to joining the Indiana CPA Society, Briggs spent three years at KWK Management Group. There, she served as executive director of five state-wide associations and oversaw all activities of the organizations. Prior to KWK Management Group, she worked for the Indiana Apartment Association and, for five years, at the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies.

Briggs earned a degree in marketing from Marian College and an MBA from Butler University in 2015. A Certified Association Executive (CAE), she is a member of both the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE), which in 2009 named her the Association Professional of the Year. She has served on the ASAE CAE Exam Committee, the AICPA’s Future of Learning Committee, and various community boards of directors.

Tara Levy Nonprofit Consulting, an Austin-based management consulting firm, was hired to manage the search.
