March 25, 2020 TxA EVP/CEO James T. Perry issues letter to Governor Abbott requesting consideration for clarification and recognition of architects as essential service providers. Additionally, the letter offers assistance the profession can provide as the state address the need for additional triage and healthcare facilities. Read Letter.

March 24, 2020: TxA joins other trade associations in a letter to Governor Abbott requesting issuance of an executive statement to create consistency and clearly declare what services and operations are considered essential as local governments roll out stay at home orders. Read Letter.

March 24, 2020: The Texas Business Roundtable (TBR) issues letter to Governor Abbott seeking uniform guidance on critical infrastructure and essential service businesses for every jurisdiction in the state to follow. TRB, of which TxA is a member,  is comprised of the chief executives and government affairs staff of 28 Texas professional, business, and trade associations.
